Loads of parties
Besides our very own discotheque “Bikini”, which is opened twice a week, the RSC oers the biggest studentparties in Rotterdam. Beerprice at these events is only €1,10!
Housing
The RSC has 60 fraternityhouses (with up to 14 students per house) all across Rotterdam and Kralingen, with about 120 available rooms per year. Only for RSC-members. Average rent (all-in): €340 per month.
Network
The RSC has the largest active international network of former members in the Netherlands. These contacts may be very useful in your career as many former members hold prominent positions in multinationals, banks, government and other enterprises.
Make lots of friends
Diving into a new country without friends might be tough. With the RSC you directly get to know about 160 fellow freshmen and older guys which can guide you through your studentlife.
Sports
The RSC has a lot of sub-organizations which are active in sports, such as rugby, soccer, eldhockey, tennis, sailing, golf, horseback riding, lacrosse and shooting. Sporting at the RSC is cheap, fun and a great way to get to know even more people.
Men only?
The RSC is for men only. Sounds strange, but it is denitely cool! Think of the ambience in a soccer or rugby locker room, it’s unique. Don’t think we only hang out with guys; the RVSV, the sorority for women only, is located in the same building!
Develop skills
The RSC has many committees to which you can take part in and develop your personal abilities in a challenging environment. You will be asked to work with deadlines, manage responsabilities and lead a group to achieve certain aims.
Studystimulation
The RSC has around 300 active member which are either in the last year of bachelor or already following a master. They will be thrilled to help you through your study. You can, for example, use their books, summaries and previous exams.
Learn Dutch quickly
What can be better than being surrounded by Dutch people to learn Dutch? Better than a language course, you will learn Dutch in not more than a year while having a lot of fun.
Misunderstandings
Some think a fraternity is expensive, studyfrustrating and that a lot of things are obligatory. Neither of this is true; nothing is obligatory, the RSC stimulates your studyperformances and the annual contribution is only €160.
